Life Covered

The women and girls of Afghanistan endured freedom. They were allowed to drive and attend school. Now that freedom has been taken since the Taliban have seized control of their country. Women could not leave the house unless they are covered showing their eyes only and they could go to school but not sit in the same classroom as men. It resulted to many fleeing the country due to fear of living under control of the Taliban. Life Covered shows women and girls in Afghanistan walking around covered under burkas imposed by the Taliban.

It shows the world intense though the weather appears bright as women had to abide by law not walking outdoors uncovered. The child is the only one who is not covered by the mother who is covered under a burkas. Overall, the piece shows the life of women living under Sharia law were they are silenced.
